Jessica M. Wong
What are you?
Look how far we've come, We have the first Black President for the first time in American History...oh wait, no we don't...America has still not gotten to that place yet, eh hem, I recant my statement, only because I myself am racially sensitive, We have the first bi-racial President who is just as much Black as he is White. I am hoping to introduce, not Obama and his biography, but to introduce the biography and history of interracial relationships, bi-racial products, and multi-racial families and my family, our struggles, our comforts, and out contributions nationally and locally.
About Jessica M. Wong:
My name is Jessica M. Wong. My knowledge on this topic defeats any academic degree I've received or any convocation that I have been elected to speak at. My years of experience begin with the age of comprehension the distinguishing of color whether on paper or people. I, was born in Seoul, Korea in 82, half black and Korean and adopted into a multi-racial family in Columbia, MD (founded by James Rouse) and went to various Private Schools locally. I, currently live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and come back to Columbia, Md on the weekends. I, have been in touch with all socio economic backgrounds and graduated with a Psychology Degree. Throughout my experiences, I find disparity and hope. To introduce an idea of acceptance to those who are "different" or are pilgrims of "diversity acceptance" is not only my proposal for this event, it is one of my life's purposes.
