The Pursuit of Happiness
Where does true happiness come from? In other words, what makes people truly happy? And to what extent do the values which we put forth in America align with this fundamental human motive?
My presentation will touch on different conceptions of happiness within the context of American culture. I will use facts and figures to determine what effects social, economic, material, and environmental factors have on happiness, and how happy and unhappy people affect the people around them. Finally, I will present a brief testimonial about my own headway en route to happiness, as well as encouraging each member of the audience to embark on his or her own path.

Darryl has been working for two years as a civil engineer in the Baltimore area. He is a sports, music, and politics enthusiast, and most of his time is occupied by his day job, his family, his friends, and his various volunteer endeavors. But that doesn't stop him from setting aside time each day for reflection, introspection, and spiritual meditation.
