Eureka! The Archimedes Palimpsest

For the last ten years a project based at The Walters Art Museum has been trying to read texts that were erased in 1229AD. The texts are treatises by Archimedes that survive nowhere else in the world. We have used advanced imaging techniques to do this, including multi-spectral imaging and X-ray flourescence imaging, and are now publishing our results that btransform our understanding of Archimedes as the father of modern science.
